This is the shield I want to make. I found a pic of Gene Krupa's shield and traced it and made mine. Sorta. Just a very rough draft still. But I like the hand painted look of his. Don't want a perfect cookie cutter image.

Super nice work, looks great. I agree the hand-painted look of the old shields is half the charm...

Thanks Mitch! I need to ask John V how he did his Big Blue bass head. Like a paint pen or something. Because I can't hand brush paint for shizzles.
