That drum made 1973- late 1975. Mid range numbers, in the 2000-4000 range would be aprox. 1974. Unknown just exactly how many were made. I am interested in knowing high 4 digit numbers. I do not believe there are any oval badge five digit SuperTen drums.
Nice drum. I have a 1980, Big R Badge, Big R period shell, 6.5x14. REALLY like it.
The 6.5 COS Superten was the only version of the COS Superten to transition to a Big R period built shell during the Big R period. Five inch drums were made using pre Big R shell stock until close to production end in 1984. There are no known examples of Big R five inch COS drums with the Big R badge in the proper Big R location.
