I just bought, without doing any research, a black set, Rogers Powertone for $200. There are no stands, bass pedal or cymbals. Just flr tom, 2 mount toms, bass and matching snare. I would say there are in good condition, not perfect. I love the Rogers sound. Did I over pay on these?

Post pics of snare. You might have made the deal of the century. Under no conditions should you flip this until finding out more.

The snare drum really is a powertone.
Two years ago it would bring 5-6 hundred by itself, one recently sold on ebay for just over 3 hundred.
I would say your set, complete, with heads, is worth in the 800-1200 range. You made a great deal.
My thoughts were that you might have had a wood dynasonic. Either way, you got a tremendous deal on a great set.

I took the heads off of each and unfortunately, it may not be a complete set. The floor tom, bass, snare and one mounted tom all have Powertone stickers with similar serial numbers. But one tom has a Holiday sticker. These would not be mixed from the factory right? Either way, I'll clean them up and play them.
What is the finish on the interior of the Holiday? It is very possible for you to have mixed tags.... especially with those fullerton tags.

The Powertone tags have speckled grey interior the single Holidy is straight gray. So, one tom is not original? Or is it possibe the set come from the factory mixed?
I have a set of 9/72 butcher blocks with gray speckled shells and the stickers don't have any mention of Powertone - is there a difference? Thanks.
