Just picked up my first Rogers drum, a Cleveland era Tower snare in what looks to be faded champagne sparkle, serial number 8xxx. We talked about this snare at length in the "HELP" thread below, but only in this thread is the subject a restoration question.

The drum is missing the muffler.

Question: Can I buy any Rogers muffler on ebay or are the mufflers for snares specific to the (Tower) snare drums?

I ask because the ones on ebay look like they'd fit but I have no experience in this.

I would at least expect that the correct muffler would have been used on more than just the Tower, but hopefully that can be clarified as well.

Any other info worth knowing would also be appreciated esp when it comes to getting one from the correct era for this drum (like should the pad be white or?, etc.)
