Roger - Timing of the Change to Cast Items Last viewed: 2 days ago

Rogers made some changes in the swivomatic and knobby hardware sometime in the Fullerton era, where the formerly machined parts became castings. Does anyone know if the cast swivo collets arrived before the cast floor tom leg mounts, or did those changes take place simulaneously? What year and range of serial numbers correspond to those changes?

Using the Rogers Owners website, the cast pieces appear in the 1973 catalog. The 1971 catalog still has machined pieces. They do not have a 1972 catalog to check.

And what a terrible decision that was by the bean counters! Now we have the privilege of buying machined collets from the parts strippers for $45 a pop!
