I have a 58 RK with all the usual problems;clam shell, out of round, edges, and beds wonky etc.If i were to take the hardware off and put it on one of my shells, would the bare shell still be worth anything?...OR, should i retire the RK in its current state and just shelve it??...It is part of a matching kit.

Yes, the shell is worth something to somebody. It also may depend on finish.

I would think it may bring $175-$250 on the 'bay.
