RIP George Meacham Drouyn drums

Loading...

George Meacham, a driving force behind Drouyn drums (made in Brisbane, Australia) passed away this week. George was the engine which kept Drouyn & Drouyn going for over 40 years. I had always hoped to interview him, but unfortunately, the planets did not align for that. What I am happy about is that I have at least raised his profile on the planet through my Drouyn pages at http://www.troutsounds.com/home/drums/drouyn/ George made a difference in the drumsmith world. Vale George - your work lives on.

Well done. I am sure his family appreciates what you are doing. Beautiful kit as well.

A so elegant way of drumming.

A dream of drums for us who appreciate this kind of fine art.

"Oh lord won't you buy me a Drouyn.

My friends all drum ludwig, I must make amends."

There will be an other drum luthier in the paradise of drummers...

I'm sure Mr. Meacham was as classy as his drums are. His place in drum history is a worthy one and it is really great that you are helping to look after his and his creations' legacy.

RIP The Master... part of his soul is embedded in his drums.

His memory will live in the instruments.

George.
