From atomicmorganic

My point was that if Buddys inhuman abilitys make you discouraged, you can take comfort in the fact that you can still make great music, make millions of $$ and have alot of fun, even if your skills are on a par with Ringos. It wasn't a comparison for cryin' out loud.

Yes - good one..........

AND....

Charlie Watts too: Right place, right time = fit the band perfectly.....ooooh - love his Gretsch kit (bass & toms) too.

Sorry for getting off topic there Joebxr.....I hear ya - Rich, in most cases, had no equal........he was in my mind "other-worldly" for sure.

Nice vinyl - great photo!

For the record I wasn't insulting Ringo when I made that tea towel statement. I love Ringo and pretty much all he did. I was serious. He really did bring a different sound to tape with the addition of the tea towel.

Yep, you are absolutley correct Atomic. I did make some nice music, didn't make any money, but DID have alot of fun! I just use Buddy to keep myself in check, and to avoid ever getting cocky.

The fun part for me is what it's all about.

P.S. Oh, and grats to Canada on a nice hockey game.

Biggest influence on me when I started was Dino Danelli. I just seemed to naturally gravitate to that style. (Well, minus the stick twirling...lol) Plus we did alot of Young Rascals stuff then.

Yeah, and I think it's all about driving the beat as well. I can't recall EVER doing a solo. Probably would be real ugly. Wipeout was probably as close as I got.
