I am in the auto restoration business. A all original 57 chevy is worth a fortune, look at the barrett jackson auctions and you will see plenty of custom cars bringing a fortune also. You can keep it original or customize it. Either way its gonna be cool.

I don't see what the problem is with a re-wrap on a vintage kit. While the orignal wrap will retain the "integrity" of the drum and enhance some perceived value, I don't think that the value should be significantly higher. The auto restoration business almost always entails a fresh coat of paint, rarely to the detriment of the vehicle value.Especially if this is a players kit by all means you should re-wrap to your liking.
