Ralf

The kit came out great and the drum head really compliments the kit. I wouldn't worry too much about the double wrap if your going out and gigging with it.

Thanks for sharing !

Michael

Most excellent! Most fab! And the original wrap is even intact underneath in case some future restorer wants to go to the trouble.

Great Job Ralf,

Questions:

Did you remove the badges and grommets before installing the new wrap?

Did you buy new grommets and re-install badges over the new wrap?

thanks

Hello,

Thanks for all the nice compliments - appreciated!

Yes, I took all badges off before. The grommets from the toms couldn't be saved, as they were sitting too firm in the holes. They were destroyed.

The one from the bass drum was already shorter than the hole was long, so it carefully could be knocked out from inside with a screw driver. This grommet I could use again.

The other two a grommets I bought from ST Drums (10 mm diameter, 6 mm long).

ST Drums has a helpful 'Tipps & tricks' section on their website, where you can see how to remove/ install badges. Great - and with self-explaining pics as well.

Cheers, Ralf
