Rewrap using tape

Loading...

From vintagemore2000

I am adding to what our esteemed forum member has just stated, "TAPE IS NOT FOR DRUM WRAP ITS FOR PRESENTS ON YOUR BIRTHDAY AND CHRISTMAS" Jr frond does this for a living not a hobby he has a successful drum company, and he doesn't waste his time on crap.

I don't want to see anyone else waste their time on crap either. It is highly unlikely that you are going to change the wrap color again. It is more likely that you will sell the kit, and a good wrap job is a plus at resale time.

I learned my lesson on tape- it's USELESS!!!! I did everything it said to do in the instructions, and the edges lifted just a couple of weeks later. I have super-glued the edges down. Needless to say I am gutted. I will hopefully gig these drums so the wrap will probably look like booty anyways, especially with the fact I have to superglue the edges back down. I am not bothering with cases until I get these drums rewrapped yet again.

Glue may take extra effort, but it's well worth it in the end.

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!
