Revere 28" Bass Drum

Loading...

I came across some marching or field drums recently. There is a 1930's marching snare drum from Slingerland (wood hoops, mahogany shell). There is also a 28" Revere Bass drum. The drum only has the one marking which is a blue w/ silver lettering badge saying Revere. The shell is no more than 8-10 inches deep. Does anyone have any information on this company? I'm assuming it is just some random drum with little to no value, but thought it was really kinda cool especially if it too was from the 1930's like it's field snare counterpart.

Pretty sure the Revere was made by Kent in the '50s.

Rich is right (you've been reading my posts haven't you;) )

Revere, Paramount, and Champion were all drums made by Kent

in the early 50's. Quality on these drums were outstanding (at least on

my Champion it is) smooth bearing edges, same 2 ply maple shell.

These are the Holy Grail of Kent drums IMO.
