Restoring a late sixties premier grey shimmer

Just bought a premier drum set..... 22,16,12. Grey shimmer... I've been looking for that wrap on the internet and did not find it. The tom and floor tom are in good shape but the bass drum has been re-wrapped in black gloss. The best thing would be to find grey shimmer wrap but if I can't find it, I would use red sparkled wrap. where's the best place to get that wrap?

Also, i would like to know how large the bass hoops are supposed to be and how large the wrap strip on the bass hoops are supposed to be since i dont have the originals to compare. Thanks for your help!

Unfortunatly, NO! I just checked yesterday and it's just wood under the black wrap. Anyone can help me with the bass drum hoop size and the size of the groove for the wrap strip? Thanks!

Hi,

What a mess. Grey shimmer is a really cool wrap.

As I have a complete drumset in grey shimmer, I will check out the measures at the bass drum hoop this afternoon.

Hi,

Measures of the black bass drum hoops (made of wood):

width: 4.2 cm

width of the wrap strip: 2.05 cm

thickness of the hoop: 1.05 cm

And, just to be exactly: the wrap strip starts 1.0 cm from the inner border of the hoop, so it's not absolutely centered.
