Restoring a Gretsch RB hoop, inlays are how thick?

Loading...

I have a Gretsch project set I'm working on. I may have a line on the inlays for the bass hoops on the 20" bass but they're not in the house, but across town.. SO I was wondering if anyone out there knows what the thickness of the inlays are on the Gretsch bass hoops? I know they're thicker than Ludwigs.

Thanks!

Width or depth?

Width of the strip. You know, the inlay that goes around the hoop. I would consider the circumference to be the length and the depth or whatever to be the width.. How wide is it? The hoop is so wide (or deep or whatever) then it has a circumference all the way around it, but the inlay covers a certain amount of the hoop, if you're looking down on it.. What is the measurement? Anyone know, or with a tape measure and a Gretsch hoop nearby? Thanks!

I think Gretsch inlays are 3/4" wide.
