Restoring a 27" Ludwig Bass Drum -

A friend of mine wants to make use of his old 27 inch Ludwig Bass drum. It originally had calf-skin heads, and one split. Been looking for a place to obtain some kind of head for this drum!

Glad I found this site. Hope someone has an idea for us.

If it is truly a 27" drum then you'll probably need a calf skin head. Contact CT Pro Percussion. They do lots of that sort of thing and inhabit this forum from time to time. If it is actually a 26" drum then all the major manufacturers make heads for those. Good luck.

I agree with tnsquint...If the drum is an oddball size and you need calfskin, then Matt at CTProcussion is a stand up guy who does great work...He is a member here...Send him a pm...
