Restoration of an old Tromsa Roxy Snare!

Loading...

I got these pieces of a Tromsa Roxy Snare from a friend! The wrap was completly wasted, the shell started to open on the glued seams, and the hardware was very dirty.

Look at the picks how i brought her back to life:-)

It was cool to see that old Drum come alive again;-)

After all the glueing job-i started to sand the shell and made the round edges smooth again and get the shell ready for re-wrapping:-)

I decided white diamond pearl antique to be the color:-) After the wrap job i begun to reassemble the drum with the cleaned hardware!

Nice. Looks like it could use some edge-work to me.

Very nice job. It always make me happy to see a drum that would normally be thrown out brought back to life after given some TLC

Thanks for sharing!

Michael

Very nice result and very cool to see the Roxy head on the snare side. Interesting technique to secure the wrap.

How do you like the sound?
