I like the sound of this guy's set, big set of Slingers, he's doing the thing where you stack a second kick in front of the first and it acts like a resonant kick (see pic). Reminds me of a pair of speakers I have that have passive speakers as well as powered. Anybody tried that? Roadies required!

DW has been doing this for years, it's called a subwoofer bass drum!!
