Hey Troy,

So how did those Blaemire toms work out for you after all?

Well...so far they're doing great sitting atop the (almost......damn bass) soundproof booth I built to play my drums in. I haven't decided what I'm actually going to do with them yet, though...I'm trying to get out of projects. (Less projects=more playing) Congrats on the bass drum find! Are you going to make a kit where you can see the spun glass or are you rewrapping?

I had actually considered--WITHOUT adding holes or affecting the drum adversely in any way at all--using the shells as hanging lamps for awhile...the light shining through the fiberglass looks killer. That way they'd stay safe and sound and out of the way, too. That might be a little too drum nerd, though.

I'm going to wrap the bass drum to match my kit. If you haven't seen it, take a look at this thread. http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=6934&highlight=blaemire

The shells do look cool when you can see through them though.
