RepRo Red Ripple wRap?

Loading...

Anyone know of a source for a repro of the old Red Ripple wrap that Slingerland and Rogers used in the 60's? I really would love to rewrap my next kit restore in RR.

I looked through Delmar's available wraps but I've been staring at them so long without any context and without knowing how they would translate to a drum.

Hey Hulakatt!

Check out this page from Bum Wrap Drum Co. Their offering is called Red Rogers!

All their wraps are digitally printed. The majority of them really do look great! I wrapped a tribute Jazz Festival-style snare drum in their "Pyschedelic Red - More Blue" and it's excellent!

I had Bum Wrap make a simulation of a Duco green and silver wrap for one of my Walberg and Auge drum sets to match a picture of an old WFL drum.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Wow, they look great! It's really amazing how well a digital print can look!

Looks good! How is Bumwrap? I've heard conflicting things and I've heard a few horror stories about the digital print not turning out the best quality and regular "printing glitches".

I also used Bum Wrap for my 1994 Slingerland HSS drum set. It's pictured here in a "Spirit of America" motif. The wrap is called "George".

I've never had any issues with Bum Wrap Drum Co and can easily recommend them!

Walopus is another company making wrap similar to Bumwrap. Between the two I've had better luck with Bumwrap but Walopus offers wraps that appear to be printed over a pearly base giving the results more depth than printing on a pure white background can give. Worth looking into anyway.

My experience with BumWraps was great. The product was beautiful. The time from order placement to product delivery was very quick. The cost was very reasonable. I almost had them make some Duco simulation to wrap another set of orphans to match my first real drum set--a mid-1950s Gretsch set in factory-painted Cameo Coral and Charcoal Gray.
