Replacing bracket mount w diamond mount

Hi. I would like to know if a Ludwig bracket tom mount can be replaced

with a Ludwig diamond mount without any holes showing. I have a blue sparkle Club Date 9x13 rack tom with the diamond mount and want to get a second rack tom for my kit. I can only find a blue sparkle Club Date 8x12 tom with the bracket mount. I was considering purchasing it and replacing the mount but have this question concerning if the diamond mount, being bigger, would cover the bracket mount holes if it is mounted in its correct position. Yes it will cover, but you will have to drill ahole or three, and drillin' ahole or three is against

Could you use a spade arm and an L-arm?

Are you mounting from a rail consolette?
