Repairing a bass drum shell

Loading...

Hi,

I have a 60s/70s no name MIJ kit that I was hoping to donate to a local charity.

The issue is around the bass drum leg mount.

it got caught on something and pulled out splintering the wood.

I managed to push it back in but now want to find a way to glue or brace it.

Any help would be appreciated! I will posted pictures shortly.

Thanks,

Jeff

That happened to me. I put a extra big washer both inside and out. Worked like a charm.

+ 1 on this.

If the thread posts are long enough, get "thick fender washers". Most hardware stores carry them, and they are nice and thick an dwill prevent further damage.
