removing spray paint from hardware

grabbed some floor tom legs from a buddy of mine for dirt cheap. sadly he spray painted them black, im just trying to find a way to remove the paint

You can wrap them in towels, soak with paint remover.... let them marinate a bit and wipe off most of the paint. The ends with the diamond patterns or knurling or whatever that's called are a little tedious.... toothbrush and toothpicks for that end of them.

If he used average can of spray paint, try some Graffiti Remover spray. Got mine from Home Depot. Spray and soak in small container.

thanks guys!

im going to try the towel soaking and if it doesnt work i will go check out the hardware stores, i dont live anywhere close to a home depot sadly (about 4 hours to the nearest one)
