Try heating the area carefully to loosen glues under the badge and in the hole !!

Slingerland. Do you have a round file?

That's what I use. Don't take much since the gromett is soft.

I did one last night with a rat tail file. If there is no inner lip it should be easy unless it was glued in place. This also eliminated the chance the badge would get bent. I had heard about this over on DFO a long while ago and just posted there about it 30 min ago... Funny I wander over here and see the same issue!!
