removing a dent in an acrolite?

Loading...

I have an acrolite snare that either got dropped in a soft case or banged in a road case, but it has a dent right where the lower part of the snare throw off is attached to the drum - the downside, is that the strainer now doesn't have an off position, i.e., the rim won't allow it to go any lower, since the throw off now sits "behind" that clearance line of the lower rim.

Any thought on how I might be able to pop this back out and back into round, or more so than it is to make the snare throw off usable again?

thanks -
