Remo Rapid tune pedal

Loading...

Hey There! I have acquired a Remo Roto Tom Rapid Tune pedal in mint condition with manual. Oddly, I had just saw a post by Chad Sexton of 311 where he spoke of how rare a piece this is and how much he loved it, then days later I came across one.

I am having difficulty finding any information about this pedal. It tunes the pitch of the Roto Tom up and down similar to a timpani drum. Remo stopped making them in the early 1980's.

Any information would be appreciated, especially a value on it, or referral to where I can get an accurate appraisal.

Thank You SO Much!

It looks like a pretty stout piece of hardware! I wonder if it tunes from lower to higher as the pedal is depressed or if it just tunes incrementally up or down with each pedal stroke, like shifting gears on a motorcycle. Interesting stuff for sure!

I am going to try and photograph and post the manual as well as see if I can post the link to the video where Chad plays it. I believe a forward rock on the pedal tunes it one way and rocking back tunes it the other. I dont have a roto tom to put on it lol!
