I thought the 20's just used regular heads? At least on my son's kit they do, he's got a 20, 12, 14 and the only metric drum is the 12. I love those sizes, best sizes for gigging to me.

Maybe after 1968..My drums are Pre International...
I will try a regular Remo Ambassador 20",and see if it goes on though..

Both my early/mid 60s kits have standard 20 inch bass drums. The 12 and 16 are the only pre-international sizes.
My understanding is the pre-international bass drum became a standard 20 some time in the 50s.

Yeah that's what I thought as well, 12's and 16's, although I have heard of some metric 20's.
