The tom mounts are in 'backwards' - should be such that the 'nut' is on top so you can get to it with your key.
So long as your edges are good and you tune to the shell with good heads - you will be very satisfied with the sound. I have a Dixie like this, just different color, and it was my first drumset back in about 1986. It is mostly complete - but has become a bit of a Frankenstein kit. Got the edges re-cut after 20 years - was blown away at how much better they sounded - never knew they could sound that good - point is - you will be very happy with them. Cool to see a sparkle wrap that actually shines. Is it the original wrap?
Enjoy that big MIJ Ride! Love those! I clean them then they sound truly great - as rides that is.
Those snares are great too - have had several - highly under-rated IMHO.
As for heads - I just run Remo Ambassadors - clear or coated is a matter of preference - after getting the edges perfected, I discover the timbre-pitch of each shell - then tune both heads to that same note - that will achieve maximum resonance - then I use studio rings. Amazing results. I have had studio engineers comment at how they already sound amazing and will need very little (if any) EQ. Edges and newness of heads are most important.
