Red Sparkle Premiers

A few pix of the latest Baskey Vintage project; some rescued 70s & 80s Premier Resonator made from various sources. The 15" tom started life as a concert tom, now regular tom with Reso liner, the bass drum was a Resonator and they will be joined before too long by 16" and 18" floor toms. Red Flake Sparkle lacquer finish by Mary of Scary Designs, UK.

The sparkle finish is beautiful! So its a lacquer? I have been wanting to figure out how to do that, these pictures will get me motivated. thanks for sharing with us! keep up the good work!

Tinted clear over silver with sparkles over it.

I did a few Wolfgangs with Bass Boat type of sparkle.

Thanks for the link Bunny! Been wanting to do a real Sparkle finish, what are you shooting it with? I saw some rattle can Clear with Sparkle at an auto parts place the other day but was a little hesitant. Had any experience with the rattle can stuff?
