Another one on Ebay right now. I have one of these, with no badge....and it is 8 lug. Part of a whole kit of this wrap. Still not done restoring (the whole kit)....but will be done by the summertime...then I will post pics.

Very nice drum and great job cleaning it up! What method did you use?

John

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Great job - nice snare.

What did YOU do to polish the chrome of the hoops? Did you use steel wool 00 or 000 at first?

Never never never! Ralf at any time use steel wool bad bad ideal , not unless you like the the nickle plated or brushed aluminum look . I been asked a few times how do i get my chrome so shinny. There is a few methodes i use on chrome and wraps. I belive it's more technique than fancy products. i will be working a with a friend of mine on making a small video on drum restoration cleaning and having my own line of drum polish availible. What used to take me for ever! to do a complete kit now takes days or no time at all . The red star onyx i just did , that took 2 and the half hours of no rush with plenty cigarette breaks. The more time you spend with the drum bigger the shine and your satisfaction will be. I use own polish that i mix my self that also get's used with my cymbal polishing machine .
