in the Ringling Brothers circus band for 30 years. He was from Iowa I believe.

Interesting question. I've seen many RBB&B offical tour books from the 1960s-90s in various antique shops lately, going for anywhere from $5-15 each. Perhaps you'd find photos in there. Also there is a RBB&B museum if I'm correct. My kid's mommy is a Ringling clown college graduate.
Red Floyd would have been in the band from the 30's -50's.
His name is in the route books.
Here is a very interesting article. So Leedy was the official
supplier of drums to the circus at least through the 40's. Bet that bass drum is heavy with 56 lugs & rods.

Bill you can contact the Barnum Museum. It's in Bridgeport CT very close to me. They might have some info for you. Or point you in the right direction.
