I never knew how great they were until I (born 1970) recently came across

"We are the Village Green Preservation Society", then I got some more Lps, now I need all albums from their 'golden Period' until 'Muswell Hillbillies'!

Great Songwriting, Lyrics and last not least Drumming by (almost Rolling Stones Member) Mick Avory, yet so overlooked back then...

Muswell Hillbillies is a "**** take" of the area from which they are from...Muswell Hills , North London..

In 1988 while I was in London,I found a dude in the back of a music zine that collected Turkish K's,and he lived in Muswell Hills...

I took the train up there a couple of times to see him,and I thought it was so cool that I was walking around by where the Kinks where from..

The K collector was a Jazz snob,so he didn't think it was that big of a deal..

In his car one day..he took me down the Muswell Hill...Car Driving2..a pretty steep hill!

Cool, I'm gonna be there in August, following many Music Hero's Footsteps in London, then Isle of Wight. Holy Ground..

(I wonder if Mick Avory had a Ludwig Deal, so often his Drums are on Display)
