once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Gary I hope you can get this squared away with the seller. Bummer! And yes, you should have asked for some local help, like you did for me. Helps to prevent getting burned. So sorry to hear this, I know you were excited about the drum.

Stinks Gary. But I gotta say I was watching that snare on ebay, too, then bammo: gone. Sooooo many times its the same story w/ vintage gear on ebay ... bids ratcheting up then some cat contacts seller outside of ebay & auctions over. Live by the sword die by the sword!
All the griping about"feebay" - well, when you buy off it you're covered when some a$$hole knowingly screws you
That's why I try to deal w/ people who are known to be stellar and do NOT play effing games. Hope you find the replacement parts. Wrap, obviously, is about the most important factor vintagewise. Looked nice.

Thanks guys I'm dealing with seller said it played fine he was playing it yeh sure in his dreams oh we'll move on next maybe it was dropped by shipper that would explains the jamming of the throw or the rim but that would not explain the twisted sister wires
