Re-Wrap Vintage Pearl Kit

Loading...

Got these for $85 off craigslist. The guy who I got them from took the wrap off and painted them blue, so I re-wrapped them. I used vinyl fabric I got for $35.

Looks great! And what a deal! Bet they sound awesome, those old Pearl kits seem to age nicely.

Thanks everybody! I am happy with how they turned out.

poppies: They do sound great! I was a little surprised but they have a really good sound to them

Wow! Those turned out great! Clapping Happy2

Is that a Gibraltar bass mounted cymbal arm? Did the holes match up on those? I've been looking for an original but can't find a decent one for under a bazillion $. I thought I might try one of those.

Wanted: Pearl President floor tom in Golden Grain wrap and rack tom in Tiger Eye (root beer) wrap.

Yes, this is the Gibraltar cymbal arm....I got it off of musician's friend for about $27. I drilled new holes for it. The original was in a different location.

Excellent! Did you glue it down all around or what? Looks pretty bulge/buckle-free...

That kit is gorgeous. I'm curious as to how it sounds.
