re-wiring vintage snare wires

someone posted on one of the forums that there's a guy who will "re-wire" your vintage snare wires. i can't find any info about it and now its driving me crazy.

i'm asking because i have sold old, used and busted snare wires in the past and one of the guys is asking about a set of ludwig's i have. anyone have any info?

I have fixed many snare wires for years.I have also cut new wires down to make custom size wire's.Its not hard to do but it does take time to do.The hardest part is if only one wire needs to be re-placed...Mikey
