Photos show the great job Ray Ayotte did on my 4pc 58 Gretsch edges.

It was a challenging job to bring the edges back to how they originally were - all four drums had different edges!

Ray trued all the edges and brought everything back to oringinal intentions.

I'm glad I didn't try it - lol.

His comments on my Facebook site:

"Hello Gary.

Yes. It was a little scary determining the best approach to tackling this job. I used 5 different router cutters, a variety of hand tools, sand paper and elbow grease.

I think this is probably the most difficult bearing edge restoration I have tackled.

I am very pleased with the results. And, I think pretty lucky.

The greatest challenge was to create a continuous apex, bridging the scarf overlap. I don't think I have seen this done before, however, I am sure someone out there has figured it out."
