Rattling mufflers

I tried searching but no luck. The mufflers on my Rogers kit tend to rattle with different heads and tunings. I tried the rubber band trick but they seem to get funky and wear out. Other than removing them,the mufflers,does anybody use something different? Maybe one of those girls stretchy hair band things?I don't see any way to tighten up the rivet.

I've had similar problems with my gretsch kit.

The way I cured the problem is hammering the rivet on an vice.

This tightened things back up.

Be carefull with the hammer though.
