Rare part help- vintage Pearl slave pedal?

Loading...

I picked this part up for a song- too interesting to pass up- I am trying to imagine how to use it in a set up. Your ideas? My guess is it's for a slave bass drum- like having two bass drums playing in unison from one pedal or - like Stanton Moore, to play another bass drum out on a limb with this anchored to a floor tom leg? thanks in advance

Hi Eric!

Congrats on this one!

Too bad it isn´t complete...

It´s some kinda "double-bass-pedal-extension" - only Pearl offered such a thing back in the day, if I remember right. At least in Germany an item like this wasn´t offered by any other company.

I got mine back in the 80´s and attached it to my Camco to have a double-pedal. In fact it was intended to be attached to a Pearl pedal, but it also fitted my Camco, after I had modified it a bit... -Yes, I was young!:D

And - this was much cheaper than buying a dp.

The pic shows how it is attached to my other pedal, and maybe you can get an impression which parts you´re missing!

Hi Eric,I just wanted to ad alittle info. As Lissy states these type of pedals were made by Pearl in 1985 was the first year if i recall right could have been 1984.Yes its true that Pearl made these but also they made them for Wesy Coast Drums in santa Ana,ca.Bob the owner at the time had Pearl make them for him but under the American Custom's name Pearl-{I think the Pearl name ones sold for 79.95 but the American Custom ones sold for 49.95}- also made them under the name if Kima drums name that were sold by Sunlite drums..On settting these pedal up dont forget on the pedal that you add you have to have a plate under the pedal to make this set-up work right.Oh a side note i have the main part for these pedals new old stock made for American Custom drums i also have the rods but these are used....Mikey
