Here's his listing description.
This WFL 12x17 - (17" Diameter) marine white pearl marching Bass drum, looks so good for a 50s Drum I would consider it a museum piece. By the looks of the Drum it has been used very little. I haven't spent any time cleaning the drum because it all looked original and I wanted to keep it in the same state I bought it in. The wrap looks so good I thought it was a re-wrap (it isn't) the wrap is molded into the shell, which means its original. (Real Deal, see pics) There is a yellow spot below the Badge (see pic) the yellow is stickem from a sticker or something like that. Both seams are tight (see pic). There are 2 or 3 marks on the wrap (see pic). Bearing edges are in great shape. This is a 3 ply shell and the WFL Badge looks great, no #. (see pic) The mini Lugs have very little pitting, flaking, or scrapes on them. (see pic) The claws have WFL stamped in them (see pic) with very little pitting or rust spots. Out of all the Ludwig vintage claws I've seen I have never seen WFL stamped on them. They were only made for 2yrs or so. The rims are in good working condition. (no cracks) The inlay is in great shape with some yellowing. The shoulder strap eyelets show no wear. The chest brace is in such good shape, the WFL sticker is still intact. Most of the wool on the chest brace is gone.

I myself emailed Drum Appraiser and author of:

The Rogers Book
The Slingerland Book
The Ludwig Book

ay’s Little Black Book
The Rebeats Calfskin Head Book
Rob Cook said he didn't include 17'' Bass drums in his book, because he hadn't heard of them until recently himself. I myself couldn't find any info on the net due to its rarity.
You guys have been very helpful on this site, so I thought I would give ya the heads up! Good luck if anyone is after this thing.
