I recently purchased a radio king drum set 22 inch bass drum the matching 13 inch mounted as well as the 16 inch floor tom. The shell of the bass drum was crushed beyond repair but, the badge and hardware and the actual finish were worth salvaging. So salvage I did

My question: The bass drum had a brass cloud badge, beavertail lugs and finished in a very, very dark blue sparkle. The badge was original and never was removed but everything I read indicates to me that Slingerland did not make a blue sparkle finish available till 1948. The cloud badge has me confused. Is there anyway Slingerland manufactured this drum in the early forties...Or, is there anyway that cloud badges were utilized in the late forties
