First, let me state that I'm not a "ply guy". I'm trying to determine whether the shell in the attached pic is a single-ply or a 3-ply. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. The attached pic is from a 1966 Slingerland Artist snare. I wish I had a better pic to offer, but this is the only one I've got. Thanks in advance for your time and your help. I appreciate it!

I thought they did make solid shell artist models.(?). I am viewing on my phone so I can’t really get much detail on the picture. Are the plys visible?
