Wow, never heard of this badge before! (kit is at a shop in France). Anyone have any info? I realize they're Star/Hoshino made
"Japson" MIJ drums
Nice-looking drums!
Grey ripple?
Ralf has mention of a "Jason" badge over on his Vintage Star website, but not "Japson".
The badge on these looks like a sticker, and has a different font to most of the Star-made badges. Also, it doesn't have the tell-tale ‘World’s Supreme Quality’ or ‘World’s Finest Quality’ that Star stencil kits often have.
Those do look like they could be of Star origin, though Ralf is the man to confirm or deny!
Did you buy them?
No I didn’t buy them. Too difficult to get them from France to the USA 😔
Those drums are not made by Star (different from Star: rail consollette, tom bracket, T-rods and more parts).

That's a really cool kit! Except for the tom holder, all other hardware is identical to my 60's Crown kit, which I believe is Hoshino.
As to "Japson", it's probably the name or company of the person who ordered them. Literally dozens of these stencil names out there! Always cool to find another one I've never heard of!

Love the wrap!! I have never seen the Japson badge before...It would be a cool one to have in my collection...
