Hello guys, I have a 1976 Slingerland Jupiter outfit (I recently learned the name) with all 9 pieces and original hardware, and while I love the sound of it, I figured gigging with it wasn't the best idea considering the shape it's in and the fact that I don't want it getting worse. I recently retired the set, but was wondering if anyone knew anything about the quality, the value, if it's worth restoring it, or would that hurt the value, and so on. They are stained natural. Thanks guys, and I appreciate the feedback!
First of all yes....
To me the value of drums is percieved...To a car buff your drums have little value..So if they are in great shape and you runinto the right guy the skys the limit.
Typically the pop sets are the killer price getters...EXAM
I have a BR set that was 1 Owned by Buddy 2 and was the set used the take the Neru jacket shots...What would you pay?
First...
What do you have size wise......I worked for them and I cant remember the dam names..Finish,,,What are the shells like...Cracked? etc etc..
What condition is the hardware in..etc etc...
Good care can really make the set last...BR's set is now 42 years old..The pearls faded but they sound great...
I was with S from 70 to 83....
