Question about Rogers collets! Last viewed: 11 hours ago

Loading...

I was about to put a pair of Rogers spurs, collets etc. up for sale on Ebay and came across something I have not seen before. They came to me on the Luddy kit wrapped in leather I posted not to long ago. They are Fullerton Era with the collets that crack but surprisingly both these collets still held and looked to be in decent shape. I then noticed that 1 of the collets looked less rounded at the nose like the early machined collets but did not have the USA markings. So did Rogers ever make machined collets that were NOT marked Made in The USA? or Did they make 2 different types of cast collets?

Not sure if you can really see the difference in the pics but here you go!

The machined or machined imposter is on the right.

Yep that's a machined collet. From what I understand there were some without markings. There are also some repops someone made. But yours looks like a original. BTW I'm no expert on Rogers so hope you get more info.
