Question about Ludwig tom stand Last viewed: 1 minute ago

Hello Everyone, I am new here. I have read a lot of posts over time so I am familiar with the site.

I just bought a Ludwig Classic maple drum set used from guitar center in North Attleboro MA last night. I am so excited because they are green sparkle and are interesting sizes (20 Virgin Bass, 8, 12, 13 toms and 15 floor tom). I now need to buy a double tom stand and clamp for the 3rd tom. I went to a local pawn shop which had a Ludwig double tom stand. I bought it tonight and brought it home and was disappointed to find that the posts were too big for the tom lug holes. I returned it and got a refund. So now I am looking online for a double tom stand and I have seen 2 different sizes 9.5mm and 10mm. How do I know which one I need? I am assuming that the stand I bought tonight is a 10mm since it was too big. I just want to be sure and ask here. Is there a certain model number stand and clamp that I am looking for? Is this what I need? http://drumsonsale.com/product.php?id_product=1011

thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

You MAY have been able to buy just the L-arms with the ball in the smaller diameter to fit that stand.I see them on 3bay pretty often.

Ludwig Classic take 9.5mm, so yes the one you linked to will do it.

Ludwig Elite (and many other brands) are 10mm

There are some other brands which are 12.5mm (from memory). Beefy!
