Pvc Drum

Loading...

OK....Ive been helping you guys out with your Slingerland Drum Issues...Its payback time..

I am trying to make a PVC drum.. I do stand up and have an idea for a bit.

I dont care how little the drum is...Its suppose to be funny.

I have lugs rods etc...Typically the PVC runs in odd sizes as compared to drum heads.. Are there any sized PVC that is dead on?

I may have to go to a 14/ 15 but I cannot find any Outside dimensions in relationship to the Inside diam. of a drum head...

Finding PVC in those sizes is going to tough. Maybe try a plumbing supply house, the type place that does large jobs, not the guy like Depot, or Lowes. We have a place called Locke Supply. This is a place like you would be looking for, or a city plumbing project.

I'll chime in with MIKEY777 - they used to have a nursery behind my house and they had long white irrigation pipes that I measured to be pretty much dead on 10" in diameter. It would be a shame to have to buy a whole length - it might be more expensive than using a cheap drum for you act.

lonecomic - I suppose it would give the joke away if I were to ask you what you were going to do with it? :o

There used to be a drum co. called Ugly Drums that made a 13" snare from PVC.
