Hi,
Mouse pads. They are free, like gimme hats. I cut the pad into suitably sized strips and throw them into the kit bag that has all the usual tools. Then I throw some into a pocket of my cymbal bag, a couple in my stick bags. etc.
This way I never care when I lose one, or two, which is inevitable around me.
