I was worried about all the rust on the bass drum hoops but here's the result after sanding, priming and painting. Going to the New Cannan Music Swap Meet on Sunday. Going to see if I can pick up some heads and parts. If not then off to G.C.

Hey Ralf, Rustoleum primer and Rustoleum "Satin Black" (both spray cans) That's after A LOT of wire brush and sanding. The inlays were only glued at the overlap. I made one slice with a razor blade next to the overlap and they popped right off. There was a lot of rust on the backside of the inlays that had to be cleaned. All the while trying to keep my cat from attacking the strip as it dangled off the table.Laughing H
