Primier shells, please help identify!!!

Loading...

Hi, I hope someone can help me identify a Primier kit I was recently given...

The shells appear to be 3 ply with a lacquer finish. The top ply appears to be a very thin layer of masonite or fine-grain plywood. The badges are almost identical to the ones I have seen labeled as 1966-1981, however there are some differences... The "Made in England" is all one line. The Premier logo is the one with all upper-case letters except the lower-case i, and there are no serial numbers. Because of the missing serial #'s I thought it was a late 60's something, but then I noticed the badge is just slightly off from the others I have seen, and the drum sizes don't seem right for that period. The set up seems more modern size-wise (10, 12, 14 toms and 20 bass) except for some of 1950's set ups that had some smaller toms.

Anyway, I'm baffled so any help is seriously appreciated!

AL.
