Sounds like a great find to me, and I think those are the best vintage Gretsch sizes.

I know the round badge jazz kits can fetch crazy high prices, but I've heard people say that you shouldn't pay more than $2000 CAD ($1500 USD approx) for 20, 13, 16 or 22, 13, 16.

Steve Maxwell has the same RB set, stripped of it's original wrap and refinished for $1495.00 USD.
Never play it the same way once.

I have a 12 14 20 for sale if you are interested.
For pricing I have bought several 13 16 20 kits around the $700 (very rough) to $1300 range and for 12 14 20 from the $1500 to $3k range. Condition, matching snare and all matters. For any kits that have a 4x14 snare expect to pay more.
FWIW I saw a really nice 13 16 20 Round Badge with matching 4157 snare on eBay NOT sell at $1250. You will struggle to find a champagne kit with matching snare at that price. The seller had a new account but I did speak with him on the phone and he is legit.
