Premier Snare value and age?

hi guys, i have an opportunity to buy this snare for pretty cheap. could you tell me about it? sounds pretty good.

Pretty sure that is an Olympic snare. Chrome over steel shell, think its worth around 75-100 bucks. I had one they don't sound half bad

Those are a really good sounding snare. If that's a 6x14 you should grab it for sure. The ones I've played have a tight,rich cut to them.

I think that snare was popular back in the late 70's thru early 80's. I beleive I had one that I got with my Premier Royale kit new in 86. My buddy had one that sounded awesome. My snare drum compared to my friends was like night and day. His was older and sounded crisp and poppy. Mine was cheaper made and I had a Ludwig Supraphonic at the time and nothing imo really beats a Supra for a metal drum. But as Shooter said you should get it because it's a deep one.
